Why We Love This Opportunity
What God is doing at The Bridge is truly remarkable. A local church committed to going all in for Jesus and making disciples in the community. I’m excited to help them find a new Creative Pastor to lead a talented team of artists.
About Bridge Church
The Bridge Church was founded over 50 years ago as “Palmo Sola Bay Baptist Church”. Around 2008 the church stepped away from the Baptist denomination to become an independent church known as “The Bridge”. The desire that drove this was to be a church that creates a space where anyone can walk in no matter their background and hear about the love of God.
After years of ups and downs and almost handing the keys over to a larger church in the community the Bridge began a long journey of redefining vision, focus, and action. We believe we are in the final chapters of that journey as we head into a new one.
Life at The Bridge is diverse and seasonal. Because of our location we are blessed to welcome 200-300 snow birds from November-April every year. They are consistent and highly engaged when they are in town. Throughout the remainder of the year we have a diverse church body from young adults, young families, all of the way to retirees. The beauty of this is that they all interact in many ways on a regular basis. The “life diversity” is not a division but a beauty strength.
Every person in every season is grasping the value of creating an environment focused on loving God by loving people, largely because it’s what they have experienced and it is what has changed them.
