Key Responsibilities:
- Teach and lead weekly student ministry gatherings (Sunday School, Wednesday nights, etc.)
- Build evangelistic momentum and grow student attendance
- Recruit, train, and mobilize volunteer leaders and parents
- Manage the ministry calendar and lead large-scale events (like community-wide D-Now)
- Partner with other church ministries and area student pastors
Requirements
- Someone who walks the room. Students here want a leader who gets in the game with them, shows up at a ball game or a graduation, and knows their names.
- An evangelist at heart who is wired to go get students, with a track record of growing a ministry rather than maintaining one he inherited.
- Someone who sets his own pace. The lead pastor hires people and then trusts them to run, which is a gift to a leader with his own ideas.
- A leader of leaders who recruits, trains, and follows through with volunteers and parents instead of trying to do all of it himself.
- Someone who does what he says he’ll do. Follow-through with students, parents, and the church calendar matters.
- A team player who partners with other ministries rather than building a silo.
