The Executive Director of Ministries serves as the primary leader responsible for executing the vision established by the Lead Pastor and Elders. This role provides strategic leadership, coaching, and oversight for ministry staff while building healthy systems, developing leaders, and fostering a collaborative staff culture. The ideal candidate is a proven second-chair leader who thrives in developing people, creating organizational alignment, and helping ministries move from vision to execution. This leader will champion First Church’s disciple-making mission and help cultivate an environment where life transformation is normal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute the vision established by the Lead Pastor and Elders by creating organizational alignment, ministry clarity, and measurable progress across the church.
- Lead, coach, and develop ministry staff, campus pastors, and key leaders to maximize their effectiveness, health, and long-term growth.
- uild and refine systems, processes, and pathways that help ministries operate efficiently while maintaining a relational, disciple-making culture.
- Provide strategic oversight of ministry initiatives, ensuring priorities are aligned with the mission, vision, and values of First Church.
- Foster a healthy staff culture marked by collaboration, accountability, trust, encouragement, and servant leadership.
- Work closely with ministry leaders to identify challenges, remove obstacles, and implement practical solutions that move ministry forward.
- Help define success, establish meaningful metrics, and create clarity around goals, expectations, and outcomes across ministry areas.
- Champion leadership development and disciple-making by equipping leaders who develop others and multiply ministry impact throughout the church.
