The Assistant Worship Leader at Grace Heartland will play a major role in leading, planning and executing worship for weekend services and student gatherings. They will plan sets, build tracks, lead rehearsals, create events, and develop volunteers. Plus, they will oversee the entire student worship ministry, helping each student grow musically and spiritually. The right person will bring musical strength, technical skill, and a heart for people to this incredible church.
Requirements
- Technical Builder: Understands tracks, loops, patches, and troubleshooting well enough to lead confidently without relying on production to fix musical problems. Can research, experiment, and improve systems over time.
- Student Developer: Invests intentionally in young musicians. Doesn’t just use students on stage but trains, coaches, and prepares them to thrive beyond Grace Heartland.
- Confident Collaborator: Brings ideas to the table with courage, but holds them loosely. Thrives in direct conversations and creative tension without taking things personally.
- Engaging Leader: Leads a room — especially students — with energy, warmth, and clarity. Can explain songs in a way that lowers barriers for those new to church.
- Strong Musician: Leads from piano or guitar and can MD the band with authority. Owns arrangements, transitions, and the overall musical execution of the room.
